What is Educational Therapy?
Definition-
Educational Therapy focuses on the identification of
learning
difficulties and reinforces those areas of
difficulty. Whereas
tutoring focuses on specific subject content, Educational
Therapy
zeroes in on specific skills related to the deficiency
that causes the
learning difficulty using a therapy based approach.
How the Process Works-
The Educational Therapist will begin with a consultation
where he will
look at grades, reports, testing, and other sources as
well as provide
proprietary assessment to determine the learner’s
needs. An
Individualized Education Plan (IEP) will be developed to
meet those
needs. The Therapist or Tutor will then educate the
learner based
on this plan. Regular assessments will be done to
determine
progress and/or a change in the IEP.
